How To Edit WhatsApp Messages On Android & iPhone

There’s this cool new Edit Message feature on WhatsApp that can help us fix mistakes on our messages. It’s a really interesting feature that you’ll learn about in this article.

You know how sometimes we make mistakes when we type on WhatsApp? Well, there’s this cool new Edit Message feature on WhatsApp that can help us fix those mistakes.

It lets us take our time to think about what we wrote and even change it, even if we already sent it, for about 15 minutes. It’s a really intresting feature that I’ll explain in this article.

What Is The Edit Messages Feature On WhatsApp?

Let’s say you’re chatting on WhatsApp and you accidentally send a message with a mistake in it. This new “Edit message” feature is like a helpful tool that comes to the rescue.

You can use this feature to fix any bloopers you made in your message. It might be a typo (when you type something wrong), or maybe you want to add more details to what you said.

You have to make your changes within 15 minutes after you hit that send button. After that, you won’t be able to edit anymore.

Keep in mind that you can only use this tool on the same device where you sent the message. So, if you send a message from your phone, you can’t use a computer or another device to fix it.

How To Edit WhatsApp Messages On Android & iPhone

Changing messages on WhatsApp is easy! But first, make sure you have the latest version of WhatsApp.

You can do this by going to the app store on your phone – playstore for android or the apple store for iPhones and looking for WhatsApp.

If there’s an “Update” button, tap it to get the newest version.

Now, let me show you how to edit your WhatsApp messages:

For iPhones

Step 1: Open the chat in WhatsApp. Hold your finger on the message you want to change.
Step 2: A menu will pop up. Tap “Edit.”
Step 3: Fix your message, then hit send.

For Android Phones

Step 1: Open the WhatsApp chat. Hold your finger on the message you want to change.
Step 2: Tap the three dots at the top right of the screen for more options.
Step 3: Pick “Edit.”
Step 4: Make your changes, then tap send.

To Sum It Up

Remember when you messed up or wanted to change something in a message you already sent? Actually, you can fix it now.

Whether it’s just a tiny spelling mistake or you want to add more to what you said, we’re super excited to give you more control over your chats.

All you gotta do is press and hold on the message you sent, then pick ‘Edit’ from the menu. You’ve got up to fifteen minutes to do this after you sent it.

And, the messages you edit will show “edited” next to them. So, the people you’re chatting with will know you made a fix, but they won’t see the whole history of changes.

And don’t worry, just like your private messages and stuff you send, everything’s safe with end-to-end encryption.
